Before you play with data, you need to have data. Working as a data scientist, analyst, or in any data-related field does not always entail receiving data for your work. Sometimes (no, most of the time) it is your onus to acquire data, clean it, shape it, and make something out of it.
Here is the catch: if you know how to clean data and visualize data but have no idea about scraping data, then you are missing many opportunities.
